We just confirmed for ourselves that the MacBook Air’s small MagSafe charger does work with the MacBook and MacBook Pro, but the MagSafe charger on the latter two don’t work with the slot on the MacBook Air when you lay it flat on a table. Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 4:15 PMyoure an idiot. no shit the old magsafe adapter isnt going to work when its on a table…thats the reason why apple innovated a new charger styled for the macbook air. why dont you be useful and find out if using the macbookpro charger on the air does any damage to battery life if you use the air while its on your lap. i heard that it would charge faster using a pro chager versus teh air charger. i have an air but im not going to try anything risky with it.
