Moneual I*magine HTPC Looks Purdy, Steals Out Hearts

This little orb is a Moneual I*magine home theatre PC, packed with a Cure 2 Duo 2.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, HDMI output and a 500GB hard drive for all your fave music or movies. The big draw here is the design, a matter of taste but we think it's beautiful. We also like the responsiveness of that touchscreen, and are told that if you trick the PC's innards out with an ATI 2400 XT graphics card, it can play back 1080p. Look for it in March for $US1999. The North hall of CES is like a different planet. Car culture dominates geek culture here, but you still find weird things like this mini wall of 7 inch Kicker solo-baric L7 subs. They were outputting a low roar that felt like a massage or subtle brush against my skin when I leaned in close. I wouldn't say it was erotic, but I wouldn't say that it wasn't erotic either.

"Mummy, Why is There a Server in the House?" is a children's book dedicated to "Helping Your Child Understand the Stay-At-Home Server." At first we snarked at this over-the-top marketing propaganda. But then it made us crap our pants with laughter.

Fat White Guy: I shouldn't even give you coffee.
Scale is everything: We knew iRiver's Wing touchscreen UMPC was

Guitar Hero is wicked popular so it is not surprising that numerous companies here at CES are piling on the guitar controller bandwagon. It is also not surprising that many of these controllers blow goats. In case you were unsure, hit the gallery and lay your eyes on the "Shredmaster" and the "Shredmaster Jr." In fact, the only guitar that seemed to be worth a damn was the

I just ventured into the bowels of the International Pavilion, a separate building beyond the North Hall that's home to tons of tiny booths of companies from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. Basically, it's full of power supplies, shitty digital picture frames and knockoffs. So many knockoffs. Take a look through our gallery and try to spot ripoff versions of the iPod nano, touch, and classic, the Sidekick, and even the Ocean. All high quality, I'm sure.

The new Eee PC with an 8.9-inch screen is real, and they have in fact crammed the bigger screen into the same sized case, as

OK, I know the piss taking shall commence in full shortly, but before you do, check out the iShoes in action. We've told you about the motorised footwear before, but this is our first proper foots on. Weighing in at over 5 kilograms, with a top speed of 13.5 mph and a 3-mile range, looking like an ass has never been so fun.

Sci-Fi eye-wear lovers are finally getting more options when shopping for new shades with MyVu's release of two new models, Shades and Crystal. Both models are geared towards watching video on the go, with what MyVu describes as "glance-down technology with true situational awareness". With this, "glance-down tech" these glasses are even closer to mimicking their Sci-Fi alter-egos, as you might have see on

The Creative TravelSound 80 is small sheathe that you can just slide your iPod nano into. Ooo, that's a tight fit, baby. Once it's nestled inside, its mini speaker blasts the tunes, sounding crystal clear for its size. Well, its sound has a rather hot high end, but what do you expect from such a puny thing? It built-in rechargeable battery replenishes your iPod's power, and you can plug it in to charge them both. This bauble isn't even announced yet, so you heard it here first, but you'll have to hold your $90 until March or April before you can introduce it to your little nano Sounds a lot like that

Now that

In our third interview segment, we asked Bill what's on his mind when he wakes up in the morning, and what he's still worried about when he goes to bed at night. At first his answer was businesslike, about Microsoft's goals. But then it took a turn for the personal. Yes, Gizmodo readers, Bill Gates is human!
Spotted: What's this? A Sony A200 digital SLR with a flip-screen finder? Others are guessing that it's an A300. WTF: Either way, it's a great way to get the most out of that live view capability. [

It looks like Activision is cashing in even more on their lucrative Guitar Hero licence. The Air Guitar Rocker by Jada allows you to fake rock without your console.

The Brief: Hold the Aigopen up to any content in a book (text or images), and it will read out exactly what is going on, in either Chinese or English. We were amazed with the concept, clarity of audio and miniature size. As ever, there was a catch.
