World Record House of Cards Stands Up to Leafblower
Posted by Matt Buchanan at 7:30 AM on November 24, 2007
Bryan Berg, cardstacker extraordinaire, tries to take down his world-record setting card tower with a leafblower. But it's made up of so many damn cards he barely puts a dent in it before the blower flames out. So he resorts to the most destructive tools around: his hands, crushing himself in a sweet avalanche of cards after a couple minutes of pawing that reminds us of New Year's in Times Square in more ways than one. new reality tv show stemming from this : Extreme 52 pickup
i'd say the leaf blower is typical black and decker from my expierience, over heating after a average use

Just shows... never bring an electric-powered device when a hydrocarbon-powered device would work better! (Guess it don't just apply to cars and aircraft!)
As to the tower jokes? Get over it! The same (or larger) number of people died in highway accidents in the US within about 3 months after the attacks, and most were equally loved and missed. More soldiers have been lost in Iraq, and the same applies. Who knows how many were lost within weeks from disease and cancer, and what research might have prevented! The only difference is that the families of victims of the 911 attacks got more money from the gov't than ANY of the rest because it was televised.
Wow... I'm really beginning to realized how screwed up our society really is!

It's actually canda easy, it's just a specia pattern he didn't used glue just google card stacking and go to his site if you look at the pictures you recognize a pattern. I made a 5 foot building with this pattern without any experience!! My cat could sit on it, hahaha.

@grok666:
first off,
any tradegy is horrible , regardless of the outcome. WTC was a tremendous tradegy, that affected the whole world, not just the US , if u bothered to watch the news. next thing im gonna see on this site is jokes with racial undertones. grow up, were al mature here, the wtc reference was made by one person, which shows that people here have more class than that. bravo to those with a brain on here.

I wonder how it would have stood if there was a giant hole in the middle of the building. Maybe by punching a hole in it?
What if I superman my way and drill a hole right through by jumping in?
Or climbing on it?

@zanzibarlegend:
1) tradegy is not a word
2) americans seem to think its cool to get annoyed when people mention the WTC, most of you wannabe patriots dont know the first thing about the god damn attacks, so please just stfu. Your all trying to conform to some stereotype, get over yourselves.
ON TOPIC: that guy holds that leaf blower in a manner that can only be described as retarded...he clearly doesnt do much other than build card houses...

It's kind of funny and sad that somehow anyone knocking down any sort of tower somehow makes this some sort of cruel jab at the World Trade Center. Where does it say that this was modeled after those buildings? Let's all act offended, cause it's the right thing to do! Personally I'd like to take a flamethrower to it, if I survived that'd be one cool looking flaming shower of cards.
