Sidekick Slide Super Sizemodo
Posted by Wilson Rothman at 1:17 AM on November 1, 2007
First you get a taste of what the two sexy new Sidekicks, the LX and Slide, look like side by side. (Can someone please tell me why the logos are all oriented for "portrait" when there's never been a more "landscape" phone? I need an explanation.) That, my friends, is but the appetizer. Your main course is a smorgabord of Sizemodology, pitting the new little Sidekick Slide against the roughest, toughest "consumer" smartphones around: the T-Mobile HTC Shadow, Sprint's Palm Centro, the BlackBerry Curve, and of course the iPhone. You will find that deluxe second gallery after the jump.

tysondabney: I have looked at getting the Sidekick, shadow, Curve and settled on the Wing instead. 2.0MP cam is great and the functions are like a real cam (not a real expensive cam, but good on a phone) and i love the Windows Mobile 6 functions.
The Main plus about the Wing is that it has Wi-Fi access, im not buying the EDGE data plan but have 24/7 access to wireless so its great. No flash for the cam would be one of the gripes, low CPU speed (sub 200Mhz)and limited memory. other than that, its a great phone.
i would suggest u take a look at it as an option.

i wish there wasn't such a strong stigma around the sidekick. i like the phone but, but being compared to geeks and scene kids leaves me looking for other alternatives.
but just in case... how is the camera on flash, resolution, action shots even?

whats up with this Sidekick and Iphone obsession? how about a sizemodo of the TMobile HTC Wing? functionally better than the Sidekick on all counts.
more Tec and less cultural Fads i say!

Is Sizemodology the wacky religion with the aliens and the volcanoes, the one with the wizard who talks to a man in the clouds, or the one with the zombie god who can escape from tombs?

Funictionally the Sidekick is the best of them all. BUT, yes BUT, the look and feel is silly Japan-girl 2001 and is so dated and annoying that it makes Paris Hilton look like a geek (No she's not). If only they really worked on the software.....

Hey, Gizmodo - can I request a sizemodo with just the sidekicks back from the original black and white sidekick, all the way up to the slide? I think that would excite people past the point of goo.
Thanks!!

I really have to see this in person.. i really don't like the lack of brightness in all of the Old sidekicks.. and i think this new one will change all that.. i must see though..

as owner of a weathered and dying sk II, i saw the sk lx for the first time last week. it's pretty nice, that screen is a big improvement, a LOT better than the previous screens. and it feels a lot thinner than the sk 3, even though i don't really think it's that much thinner.

Well whats the point of a sizemodo on two phones that come out within 2 weeks from the same line and not comparing the two phones.
Lets see a sizemodo of only t-mobile phones now.
How about HTC Wing vs. Sidekick Slide vs. Sidekick LX
that would be a popular sizemodo.
Wing owns all sidekicks own
Yes proud owner of a t-mobile wing although im tryin2 get a faster SDRam
