Sanyo's New Diply Talk Recorder Listens VERY Well

Sanyo has just announced a new model in their Diply Talk recorder line (the ICR-PS390RM) that happens to be the world's highest capacity voice recorder. Because while 8GB may be standard fare for MP3 players, it's a big deal in the MP3 recorder industry. At lowest quality, users can record up to 1,000 hours of audio before deleting (though the highest quality, stereo settings just offer 12 hours). The best feature, however, may be the ability to partition and PIN password protect half of the drive, preventing nosy spouses from getting all the hot corporate info from your last board meeting. Also, sansa e280 (and the 16gb view) work as voice recorders, mic built in and all. And they aren't vapor. So how is this the highest capacity ever? are you putting weight on the fact that it generates mp3s on the fly as opposed to some other format?

I still can't get over how many different ways we can attempt to use the word "gay" as an adjective. At least some of the time when people say that, it could pass as partially making sense. This... this doesn't even come close.

@strider_mt2k: I think its obvious why they don't have sd cards in voice recorders... In every movie they always tape record the bad guy and he grabs it and takes the tape out. This prevents that "Dimmit!" factor of having a bad guy take the sd card out in front of you and snapping it into two really gay pieces... Bad guys will take tapes and SD cards but rarely do they steal the whole recorder...that would be really hardcore and messed up...

Once again I'd like to call for a general cutting of the crap when it comes to digital voice recorders.
There is no reason that they can't support memory cards, so this whole argument is rendered moot by manufacturers' greed and stupidity.
Just put a card slot in it and stop with the BS about capacity.
Enough already.
End rant.
