Rock Band May Be Harder to Find Than the Wii This Christmas

Nintendo's Wii may be on everyone's minds as the one gaming item that will be hard to find this Christmas, but Rock Band could even beat that. Why? Here are a few reasons. One, the Wii's been available for more than a year. Two, Guitar Hero 2 was almost impossible to find when that was released. Three, Rock Band will only be available as a bundle until early 2008, meaning each package will be taking up lots of shelf space, which also means fewer units in stock. If you want Rock Band this year, you should pre-order now. [GamaSutra - Wired]

pros: wireless, no hub.
cons: worst graphics?

pros: better online integration than PSN?

@kingbob337: Actually, I don't if it's worse or not, but I play in a band, and I can't tell you how much practice time we waste playing Guitar Hero, and how much more we're going to waste playing Rock Band.
I'm not sure how any of that is gay though. How does playing a video game, rather than doing the real thing, have anything to do with your sexuality?

Okay I can't really talk because I play guitar hero like a mofo, but how gay is it going to be when you walk into one of your friends house and you see 5 people jamming out to a video game. It's like come on, why don't y'all just start a real band.

@robinandtami: ahhh hahhahahahahah - let's DO go kill us some real aliens, by gum! that'll be so much REALER than 'pretending' to kill aliens on Halo 3, so much more relevant. I think people who are secure in their musicalliness can play GH and this upcoming rock band thing without worrying if they are closet mags or not. Closet mags - all I could come up with in the 20 secs I allotted to the task :^)
Oh, and i just checked out Engadget for the first time - Giz, you boys ROCK. Didn't like the engadg vibe, not digging the Endomorph, the 'McEngadget', oh yeeeah.

those are pretty lousy reasons for why this will be in short supply. i am predicting that i will get one the day its released no sweat.
