Rock Band Gear Unboxed: Christ, That's a Lot of Boxes

Game|Life has gotten their box of Rock Band goodness and it looks like there's more cardboard and assembly instructions involved than a desktop from Dell. After tearing through the tree's worth of post-consumer recycled packaging and freeing various appendages from twist ties, you then have to put the whole damn thing together, which apparently requires a small novella for the drum kit. Music is hard, like math or sobriety. That's why I'm holding out until a game company releases a title that caters to my personal talents and abilities... only I'm not sure when Masturbation Hero: Extreme Pessimistic Ninja Edition is going to head into development.

No man you got it all wrong. They'll make Bassoon Hero....make alot of money on it....the publisher will get bught out and take the franchise with them....then they'll make Wind Synmphony.

I picked up GH3 tonight - fucking loving it. No need to drop a shit-ton on another bunch of hardware I won't have anyway to put :)

I preordered Rock Band. I watched a video on youtube of them taking the drum set apart and putting it back together. It only takes a few seconds. About a week or 2 before the game is released I am gonna order my Drum Throne on amazon.com :)

cazoo hero or im not interested. or tuba hero with flight of the bumblebees. ok rockband is fine too actually. whats special about the special edition? or is it just that the special edition is the one with all the instruments already.

Perhaps the strategy is a giant box is less likely to produce outrage at the ridiculous price. "Hey, I get 3x in box volume vs. GH3 at only 180% the price!"

I can't tell if the unboxing article (or this one about that one) is complaining about how much stuff there is, or if they're excited, as they should be... ?!
