New PSP Color Looks Like a Shade of Red Lipstick

The limited edition Deep Red PSP you're gawking at launches in Japan next month in two flavors—one with the 1seg digital TV tuner, one without. The 1seg bundle also comes with a 1GB Memory Stick PRO Duo and a stand, while the standard box has a 32MB stick and is standless. No word on whether this bloody hue will hit stateside. This bodes well for Dario Argento fans. I'm waiting for a bundle that includes a UMD copy of Profundo Rosso, an innards-festooned memory stick and a game involving a killer in black gloves. Maybe they'll toss in a Daria Nicolodi action figure for added zest -- if not, let's hope for Asia Argento.

correct me if i am wrong but even if you got the psp with the tuner, it wouldnt work here cuz we dont have the 1seg network. i think anyway. a psp with a tv tuner would be nice though as there are digital SD and HD broadcasts everywhere. psp's suck tho

How do these TV tuners work? I imagine they just pick up the same things as bunny ear antenna would. If that's the case, I believe this is just a 21st Century Game Gear :P
I hate to be pompous but I will have to stick with my Nokia N95 TV Sling Player.

How can you say PSP's suck? Do you have any idea what a PSP running a custom firmware like the ones from M33 can do? The possibilities are almost endless. Instead of waiting for $ony to release things, people are writing there own software. Thanks to them, we now have GPS, streaming video/Music, UMD ripping, and let us not forget DOOM! LOL Im just saying, it can do a lot more than people think.
