Mllamp Brings Luxo Jr. to Life
Posted by Chris Mascari at 5:30 AM on November 23, 2007
Kitchen Budapest's Mllamp project is out to give everyday items the ability to simulate emotions. As you can see from the video, a pair of lamps have been rigged to mimic human emotions. What those human emotions are, we're not sure. We just know that these lamps totally remind us of Pixar's mascot, Luxo Jr. [Kitchen Budapest]

The emotion is: "i want to kill myself". Im not sure we should buy furniture that's so obviously depressed.

I didn't know senility was an emotion.

looks more like lost and confusion of the type associated with waking up hungover and trying to figure out where you are.
...that's just what I've heard...

They certainly mimic my existential terror and anguish at being tied to a desk for my entire existence. So.. uh.. good one.

to be serious it looked like the lamps were shy....Is that considered an emotion or a behavior? I would go with the latter....

Why would I possibly want my appliances to show emotions?
