Watching football is clearly the best way to get scores to the games you're interested in, but if you're unable to view the games due to being busy or having them blacked out in your area, this fancy new Ambient Football Scorecast should keep you all up to date. It displays football scores in real time, allowing you see just how badly your precious Dolphins are being pummeled by whatever team they happen to be playing against this week. It also displays team and schedule info, making it a nice little gadget for the desks of football fans. Although for $US125, they could just check ESPN.com like a normal person, but hey, gadgets! Why are the Patriots (NEW) and the Jets (NYJ) shouldn't the Pats be (NEP) for the New England Patriots

I would find this a lot more interesting if it wasn't displaying New England. What's it going to display? Another frickin' win? I hate them...

Hm- I guess you could just watch this instead of the game, making football a little more dull to watch than ever before. Wow.

This is a cool product, even if its use wouldn't be as useful nowadays with the interwebs. Do these devices run off of WiFi or some sort of proprietary network? If it's the later, it becomes more useful if you don't have internet access.

About the only place this would be useful is at work where sports sites are blocked (as long as it doesn't require Wi-Fi).
