The best price I've found is Strida Bangkok, where the aluminium 5.0 costs about $160.00 US, and the aluminium "ladies' bike" with 14 inch wheels is substantially cheaper. The Bangkok office is in Ladprao, about 160 Baht by taxi from central Bangkok (Embassy Suit Gallery near the US embassy). Search for "Strida Bangkok shock price" and you'll find them. If you phone, you'll talk to the office manager, Ellen, who is a gem. Her office doesn't have a large stock, so you may not have much colour choice, especially in the 16-inchers. They do have bike bags, lights, etc. if you want genuine Strida accessories. By the way, Embassy Suit Gallery, which customers call "Roger's new place," is probably the best tailior in Bangkok. Noth the cheapest, but excellent value for top quality goods and widest choice of fabrics: silks, woolens, etc. Highly recommended!

Bike looks cool, so where do I buy one in Australia?
Oh that's right, you can't.
After an exhaustive search, the nearest reseller I could find of the Strida 5 is in Singapore :(
