Pantech Duo C810 Dual Slider Now Rocks the AT&T Casbah
Posted by Charlie White at 9:50 PM on October 29, 2007
Check out this hands-on video of the Pantech Duo C810, now available via AT&T just as we told you it would be. The dual-slidin' WinMo 6 phone looks a bit smaller than we thought it was (and smaller than the similar Helio Ocean), but still seems clunky and a bit thick for our tastes. But hey, what do you want for $250 with the usual two-year indentured servitude? Anyway, Eric from Phone Scoop gives us a good gawk 'n' grope of the phone from all angles, even though he could relax a bit. Overall, not a bad handset for the money with its 3G connectivity, but unfortunately there's no Wi-Fi or GPS. [Pocketnow and Wired]

@highfloydelity: i'm guessing he was referring to the AIM client using 3G to connect and send messages over the data connection and not use text messages to send AIM messages. which would really be the same for most every windows mobile phone.
he also talked about the lack of programs and features on the phone, but one of the greatest things to me with the windows mobile phone is that there are hundreds of thousands of programs that you can put on it.

Wow...do people really talk like that? This guy is hilarious. The bad part is that he actually sounded like he was reading from a script.

Can someone explain the "it uses 3G so you don't have to worry about your text messages" comment? Why would you not have to pay for your text messages while on 3G? Or did I hear that wrong?

most windows mobile phones have the camera also listed under "programs", and the function key locks when you press it twice. it typically displays a dot at the bottom of the screen to show that.
how many windows mobile phones has he ever touched? and they really should get people that are easy to listen to for these video reviews and not people that are grunting and straining to get out a syllable.

its too early to be smarmy, so I'll just say this.
Most human fingers are too large to use these keys.
