Looks like the only rhythm game Red Octane cares about anymore is Guitar Hero, as they've categorically denied making new dance pads for the 360—or any other system: "There are no immediate plans to create new dance pads outside of the current products available." [Kotaku]

well there's BMIIDX series which is the most widely enjoyed rhythm game series in asia. guitar hero is just a rip off of some other asian game if i remember correctly. think it never got big in asia cuz it looks way to corny and rockbands weren't ever quite so big in asian pop culture.

I'll bet they are using that part of their R&D to prep product ideas for the Wii. Afterall, the DDR craze is gone and lots of other companies got into the game pad business (even LeapFrog has one now for kids games on the PS2).

Nonsense. Red Octane doesn't care about Guitar Hero either, since they don't even sell standalone wireless guitars.

RedOctane bailed on ANYTHING dance game related when Konami sued Roxor over ITG and they stopped making the PS2 version.
