A 62-year-old Frenchman is giving his attempt on the world free-fall record one last try in the skies above Saskatchewan. Michel Fournier has spent $13.25 million trying to jump from 25 miles above the earth's surface and break the world free-fall record set by USAF test pilot Joe Kittinger in 1960. If, like me, you have the condition known as sausage finger, then you'll know the pain of punching more than one button at a time on a remote. At 5.5x8.5x2.25 inches, and with buttons 3/4 inch square, this giant universal remote should solve that problem. It uses 4 AA batteries, and costs $39.98. [
This isn't just any tarantula, it's a remote-controlled Mexican redknee tarantula. It's life-sized and realistic in every way, apart from the fact that it has hidden wheels, LEDs for eyes and finds it difficult to stray from hard, smooth surfaces. Check out the spider in action after the jump.
NASA handed out $250,000 in prize money this weekend to aircraft designers who competed in a competition to create personal air-vehicles. But don't be fooled by the picture and think that the event was full of flying cars, experimental planes and UFO-shaped discs—all the entrants were standard-looking planes, as you will see in the videos after the jump.

Sling Media's now taking applications for beta testers for SlingPlayer Mobile for Symbian S60 phones—Nokia models N75, N95, and E65, specifically. The beta's US only and will run for four weeks, and you'll be expected to keep your lips sealed about confidential information (that'll happen). Oh, and obviously, "Unlimited data plan is a MUST." If you're on AT&T, that should make for a fun

Phase Change Memory (PCM) has been in development since the 1960s and now it is ready for the masses, coined as the new flash memory. Intel and STMicroelectronics are expected to make the new platform available this year, in small quantities. So what is the fuss? In a nutshell, PCM is bigger and badder than its flash memory sister.
We have had a keen eye on the Meizu M8 since it surfaced. Today, real images of the device have come to light. The pictures certainly do not shed any light on the feature set beyond what we know. What we can confirm is that the M8 appears to be every bit the phone sex-god, as we were led to believe by earlier computer generated depictions. Hit the jump to see pictures of the M8's bum and a comparison alongside the company's miniOne PMP. [
$30,000 may sound like a lot to pay for a three-wheeler, but The Stallion by Thoroughbred Motorsports seeks to be an economic performance vehicle, combining car comfort with motorcycle acceleration.
The suitcase lives in a paradox - when in use it is economising space, when it is not in use it does the exact opposite. Some bright spark knew there had to be a better way and to prove it they designed the Suitcase Chair.
